Supporting Pregnancy, a 50-Hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training

A warm, deeply practical 50-hour certification for yoga teachers, birth workers* and expecting women* ready to enhance their ability to supporting pregnant students — from bump to birth.

Over two weekends, 5 days of face-to-face classes at The Open Mind Space in Broadmeadow, you'll build a thorough understanding of how the pregnant body changes across all three trimesters, how to sequence safe and nourishing prenatal classes, how to adapt your existing public classes for pregnant students, and how to guide breathwork, meditation, and vocalisation practices that genuinely support pregnant women.

Each training day is a blend of theory, conversation, embodied learning, practical and assessed application so by the end, you won't just know the content. You'll know how to safely and confidently teach it.

*must hold a 200hour Yoga Teacher Training to facilitate yoga classes, without this pre-requisite this training can only be used for expanding personal practice.

Meet your teacher, Mikeala

This training has been created and is led entirely by Mikeala, a yoga teacher with nearly nine years of experience, a prenatal yoga teacher since 2019, and Holistic Doula since 2020.

Mikeala’s approach to teaching is warm, inclusive and nurturing. Through years of experience working with pregnant students in a variety of paths, holding space through the joy, the discomfort, the anxiety, and the anticipation, she has built this training to support you in doing the same.

Curated to be deeply practical Supporting Pregnancy is designed to give you not just knowledge, but the confidence and sensitivity to use it well.

All training content is delivered face to face by Mikeala, supported by a comprehensive training manual that becomes a lasting resource in your teaching practice.

  • For yoga teachers, birth workers and expecting women looking to safety and confidently adapt a yoga practice to accommodate for a pregnant body, wether in a personal practice or class setting.

  • No, however you do need a minimum 200 hour Yoga Teaching certificate to teach Yoga.

    Without a YTT certificate you’re invited to join Supporting Pregnancy to add new skills to your tool box for your personal practice and support to your professional scope.

  • No, 100% attendance is required for for this training. You must attend and participate in all 5 days of training.

  • Yes, this training is certified with IICT - the International Institute of Complementary Therapies.

    When completed with a 200hour Yoga Teacher Training you will also receive 50% off your 1st year of IICT Practitioner Membership.

    If completing without a 200hour Yoga Teacher Training you will receive a certificate of attendance.

  • Every Body is welcome! You do not need to be a woman to attend this training.

  • If you need to cancel your enrolment the following conditions apply:

    For cancellations made up to 30 days prior to the event start date monies paid are refundable, minus the non-refundable $299 deposit.

    For cancellations within 30 days of start date no monies will be refundable.

    All cancellation requests must be issued in writing via email.
